Human PCNA/Proliferating Cell Nuclear ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human PCNA (Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen) concentrations in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit uses a Double Antibody detection method and is intended for research applications studying cell proliferation, DNA replication and repair mechanisms. PCNA is an auxiliary protein of DNA polymerase delta involved in the control of eukaryotic DNA replication, and abnormal expression has been linked to diseases including cancer, making it a valuable biomarker for studying disease progression and potential therapeutic interventions.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.625-40 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing yielded average recovery rates of 98% for serum (range 85-104%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 86-102%) and 94% for UFH plasma (range 88-103%). Linearity assessments at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions produced recovery percentages of 87-103%, 92-105% and 85-104% for serum; 82-97%, 84-101% and 86-96% for EDTA plasma; and 82-95%, 83-99% and 81-91% for UFH plasma. Precision is reported as intra-assay CV<8% and inter-assay CV<10%.

Kit components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample/standard dilution buffer, biotin-labeled antibody, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25X wash buffer and plate sealer.
