Human PCNA-associated factor (PAF) ELISA Kit

PCNA-associated factor is a PCNA-binding protein that acts as a regulator of DNA repair during DNA replication. Following DNA damage, the interaction with PCNA is disrupted, facilitating the interaction between monoubiquitinated PCNA and the translesion DNA synthesis DNA polymerase eta (POLH) at stalled replisomes and supporting bypass of replication-fork-blocking lesions. The protein also acts as a regulator of centrosome number. Dysregulation of PAF has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and genetic disorders, making it a focus of therapeutic research interest.

The assay reports a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. PAF is localised to the nucleus, cytoplasm, and perinuclear region, and following DNA damage it relocates to DNA damage sites.
