Human Paxillin (PXN) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the detection of human paxillin (PXN), a cytoskeletal protein involved in actin–membrane attachment at sites of cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix (focal adhesion). The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human paxillin and is intended for research use only, with applications relevant to cancer research and studies of cell biology, cell adhesion, migration, and cytoskeletal organization.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6–1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 5.6 pg/mL. Precision is characterised by an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 7.4%. Dilutional linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions. Recovery has been assessed in serum (average 100%, range 94–106%) and plasma (average 102%, range 96–108%).

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with human samples only. Paxillin localises to the cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, cell junction, focal adhesion, and cell cortex.
