PAQR5, also known as membrane progestin receptor gamma, is a membrane-embedded receptor belonging to the progestin and adipoQ receptor (PAQR) family that mediates rapid, non-genomic signaling by progesterone and related progestins. It is expressed in reproductive, neuroendocrine, and select hormone-responsive tissues, and is studied in reproductive biology, fertility research, and characterization of non-classical progesterone pathways. Assay Genie distributes this quantitative immunoassay as a complete kit configured for use with a standard microplate reader.

The assay uses a colorimetric readout and is supplied as a research-use-only package containing a pre-coated plate, capture and detection reagents, reference standards, wash buffer, and substrate solution. Each plate supports up to 96 sample determinations in parallel with a calibration curve, allowing interpolation of PAQR5 concentrations across a range of experimental backgrounds. Reagents are shipped cold-packed and should be refrigerated at 4 °C upon receipt, with repeated freeze-thaw of standard stocks avoided by single-use aliquoting where possible.

Typical applications include measuring endogenous PAQR5 levels in cultured cells and tissue lysates, profiling receptor expression in hormone-responsive models, and supporting in vitro studies of membrane-initiated progesterone signaling relative to classical nuclear progesterone receptor pathways. Researchers working on endometrial biology, ovarian function, or targeted validation of membrane-progestin pathway components will find the protocol adaptable to standard plate workflows. The supplied insert details sample preparation, recommended dilution factors, incubation times, and stop-solution handling.
