Human Pantetheinase/VNN1 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Pantetheinase (VNN1) levels in serum and plasma samples using colorimetric detection. Pantetheinase is an amidohydrolase that hydrolyses a carboamide linkage in D-pantetheine, recycling pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and releasing cysteamine; dysregulation of this enzyme has been linked to metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases and neurodegenerative conditions. Synonyms recorded for the target include Vanin-1, Pantetheine hydrolase, Tiff66 and Vascular non-inflammatory molecule 1.

Performance characteristics, as reported by Assay Genie, include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.044 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 3.4% and inter-assay CV is 7.3%. Recovery averages 102% for serum (range 96–108%) and 104% for plasma (range 98–110%). Linearity has been evaluated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Pantetheinase and is for research use only.
