Human Pancreatic alpha-amylase (AMY2A) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of human Pancreatic alpha-amylase (AMY2A), also referred to as 1,4-alpha-D-glucan glucanohydrolase or PA. The assay is intended for research use only and is reactive with human samples.

AMY2A is a secreted pancreatic enzyme (UniProt P04746) that hydrolyzes 1,4-alpha-glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, catalysing the first step in digestion of dietary starch and glycogen. The protein is a monomer located in the extracellular space.

The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. According to the manufacturer's specifications, the detection range is 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.06ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.7% and inter-assay CV is 11.4%. Reported recovery is 114% (108-120%) for serum and 116% (110-120%) for plasma. The assay detects natural and recombinant human Pancreatic alpha-amylase.
