Human pAMPK/Phosphorylated Adenosine Monophosphate ActivatedKinase ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit designed for the quantitative measurement of human phosphorylated adenosine monophosphate-activated kinase (pAMPK). The colorimetric assay detects the target in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reactivity confirmed for human specimens. Components are shipped for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity testing (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions returned 85–102%, 89–103% and 88–98% for serum, 85–97%, 83–100% and 83–97% for EDTA plasma, and 86–100%, 85–99% and 80–99% for heparin plasma. Spiked recovery ranged from 89–102% (serum), 84–101% (EDTA plasma) and 90–104% (heparin plasma), with averages of 96%, 93% and 97% respectively.

pAMPK is described as a key enzyme in cellular energy regulation and metabolism, with dysregulation linked to metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity, as well as cancer and cardiovascular diseases, supporting research applications within the metabolism field. The assay uses a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody format with a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin conjugate, reading absorbance at 450 nm after TMB colour development.
