Human Palate/Lung And Nasal Epithelium Associated Protein (PLUNC) ELISA Kit

An innate-defense secretory protein of the human airway, BPIFA1 (also called PLUNC or SPLUNC1) is made by goblet cells and submucosal glands of the nasal, oral, tracheal, and bronchial epithelium. The Assay Genie PLUNC ELISA Kit is a quantitative immunoassay built for measuring this protein in research samples, supporting work on mucosal antibacterial activity, biofilm control by the airway epithelium, and regulation of airway surface liquid volume.

Configured in microplate format for up to ninety-six determinations per run, the kit uses standard incubation and wash steps with a chromogenic endpoint readable on a conventional plate reader. Acceptable sample inputs cover human serum or plasma, processed tissue homogenate supernatant, and other relevant specimen types. Applications include cystic fibrosis airway secretions, chronic rhinosinusitis research, COPD investigations, head-and-neck squamous carcinoma profiling, and non-small cell lung cancer tissue studies where PLUNC expression has been examined as an indicator of epithelial differentiation and disease-associated remodeling.
