Platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase subunit gamma (PAFAH1B3) is a catalytic component of the cytosolic PAF-AH Ib complex, which hydrolyzes platelet-activating factor (PAF) and certain oxidized phospholipids. Encoded within the Miller-Dieker syndrome critical region on chromosome 17p13.3, the enzyme has been investigated in the context of brain development, lipid mediator signaling, and inflammatory responses. The Assay Genie ELISA Kit for human PAFAH1B3 provides quantitative measurement of this enzyme in serum-derived and plasma-derived specimen matrices, and is built on the Assay Genie immunoassay platform.
