Human PADI2/PAD2/Protein-arginine deiminase type-2 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie provides quantitative detection of human PADI2 (PAD2/Protein-arginine deiminase type-2). The double-antibody sandwich design is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. PADI2 is a key enzyme in protein citrullination, a post-translational modification implicated in immune response, gene regulation, autoimmune disease, cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a relevant target for cell biology research.

The workflow uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. The assay states a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a standard range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Associated UniProt identifier is Q9Y2J8. Storage is 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5): serum 92-97% / 86-103% / 86-105%; EDTA plasma 91-101% / 84-101% / 85-100%; heparin plasma 80-96% / 80-99% / 85-91%. Spike-recovery averages were 97% for serum (range 94-100%), 93% for EDTA plasma (86-98%) and 96% for heparin plasma (87-104%).
