Human p53 Upregulated Modulator Of Apoptosis (PUMA) ELISA Kit

PUMA, also designated BBC3, is a BH3-only pro-apoptotic protein of the Bcl-2 family that operates as a direct transcriptional target of the tumor suppressor p53. This Assay Genie ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human PUMA protein across research sample types including cell lysates and tissue homogenates, supporting investigation of intrinsic mitochondrial apoptosis in cancer biology, genotoxic stress responses, and therapeutic sensitivity studies.

The colorimetric assay is configured for 96 assays per plate and is intended for research use only, supporting in vitro studies of p53 pathway activity. PUMA drives apoptosis by activating the effectors Bax and Bak at the outer mitochondrial membrane and by neutralizing anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members such as Bcl-2 and Mcl-1.
