Quantifying the DNA-binding activity of the p53 tumor suppressor in human cell and tissue lysates, this 96-assay chromogenic kit from Assay Genie supports oncology, genotoxicity, and DNA-damage-response research. The workflow uses a microplate pre-coated with oligonucleotides carrying the p53 response element; active p53 from added lysates binds the immobilized DNA and is subsequently detected with a p53-specific antibody and a chromogenic substrate.
