Human Ovostatin homolog 1 (OVOS1) ELISA Kit

Two manufacturer specifications differ in their stated performance: one lists a detection range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL with sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL, while another reports a range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL and sensitivity of 2.9 pg/mL. The assay is reactive with human samples, accepting serum, plasma (EDTA or heparin), cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, tissue homogenate, and other biological fluids.

Validated performance includes an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity across dilutions (1:2 to 1:16) falls within 81-120% depending on sample type, while recovery averages range from 90% to 105% across serum and plasma matrices. The kit specifically recognises natural and recombinant human OVOS1 (UniProt Q6IE37), a secreted homotetramer of molecular weight 134499 Da that is reported to inhibit all four classes of proteinases by a unique 'trapping' mechanism.

The standard protocol uses a TMB substrate with absorbance measured at 450 nm following sequential incubations at 37°C. One specification indicates storage at 2-8°C for 12 months, while kit components in another are stored at -20°C or 4°C. The product is intended for research use only.
