Human OVOS2/Ovostatin homolog 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of OVOS2/Ovostatin homolog 2 in human samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL with a detection range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The protocol involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, followed by incubation with a biotin-labeled detection antibody at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, and TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes. Absorbance is read at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. Linearity in serum (n=5) ranges from 85-101% at 1:2, 82-100% at 1:4, and 80-100% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) shows 91-96% at 1:2, 82-100% at 1:4, and 81-99% at 1:8; heparin plasma (n=5) shows 86-105% at 1:2, 90-101% at 1:4, and 82-98% at 1:8. Recovery averages 94% for serum (range 85-105%), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 85-97%), and 97% for heparin plasma (range 85-102%).

OVOS2, a homolog of ovostatin, is reported to play a role in processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis, with its dysregulation linked to various diseases, making it a useful biomarker for research into these conditions.
