Human Oviduct-specific glycoprotein (OVGP1) ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Oviduct-specific glycoprotein (OVGP1) in human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay shows reactivity with human OVGP1 and recognises both natural and recombinant forms of the protein, using a colorimetric detection method.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.17ng/mL and a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 8.4% and inter-assay CV is 11.1%. Dilutional linearity in serum (N=5) spans 106-116% at 1:2 to 106-118% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (N=5) spans 108-117% at 1:2 to 104-113% at 1:16; heparin plasma (N=5) spans 86-95% at 1:2 to 104-113% at 1:16. Spike-and-recovery is 88% (range 82-94%) for serum and 90% (range 84-96%) for plasma.

OVGP1 (UniProt Q12889) is a glycoprotein specifically expressed in the oviduct that binds to the oocyte zona pellucida in vivo and may play a role in fertilization and/or early embryonic development.
