Human Ovalbumin Specific IgE/OVA sIgE ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human OVA sIgE concentrations, this Sandwich ELISA kit is intended for research use only. It provides a tool for detecting OVA-sIgE levels in human samples such as serum and plasma. Ovalbumin is a common allergen found in egg whites and is known to trigger allergic reactions in individuals with sensitivities to eggs, so measuring OVA-sIgE levels supports research into diagnosing and monitoring egg allergies as well as studying immune responses in allergic individuals.

The kit employs an indirect ELISA - Biotin detection method. Sensitivity is reported as 0.938ng/ml, with a range of 1.563-100ng/ml. Precision figures are Intra-Assay: CV<8% and Inter-Assay: CV<10%. Recovery was evaluated by spiking matrices with Human OVA sIgE: serum (n=5) recovery range 86-101% with an average of 92%, EDTA plasma (n=5) at 85-102% with an average of 93%, and UFH plasma (n=5) at 87-105% with an average of 95%. Linearity was tested by serial dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and UFH plasma, with results expressed as the percentage of calculated concentration to the expected value.

Storage is 4°C for 6 months. Reactivity is human, and suitable sample types include serum and plasma.
