OTUD5 is a cytoplasmic deubiquitinase that selectively cleaves K63-linked polyubiquitin chains, regulating innate immunity through TRAF3, IRF3, and RIG-I signalling pathways. Aberrant OTUD5 activity has been linked to inflammatory disease, type I interferon signalling disorders, and several congenital developmental anomalies.
