This Assay Genie ELISA Kit quantifies Osteopetrosis-Associated Transmembrane Protein 1 (OSTM1), a type I transmembrane cofactor that partners with the CLCN7 chloride/proton exchanger on osteoclast lysosomal membranes.

Loss-of-function mutations in OSTM1 cause autosomal recessive infantile malignant osteopetrosis, so quantitative measurement supports research into bone resorption, osteoclast function, and lysosomal pH regulation in affected cell models. The kit is supplied as a complete 96 Assays pack containing pre-coated microplate wells and all buffers, standards, and detection reagents required to perform the in vitro immunoassay. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and stored refrigerated, with freeze-thaw cycles minimized to preserve antibody binding activity.
