Osteoadherin (OMD), also known as Osteomodulin, is a keratan sulfate proteoglycan expressed in mineralized tissues such as bone and dentin, where it contributes to matrix organization and cell-matrix interactions relevant to skeletal biology research. The Assay Genie PharmaGenie kit provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring this matricellular biomarker in human-derived samples. The assay supports the analysis of biofluids and conditioned media, including plasma and serum specimens as well as cell culture supernatants from osteoblast or mineralizing cell models, accommodating studies that bridge in vitro experiments with clinical or translational measurements. Using a colorimetric readout, the kit is configured for 96 assays per plate, making it compatible with standard microplate readers commonly found in bone, dental, and connective tissue research laboratories. Researchers investigating bone formation, mineralization disorders, periodontal biology, or OMD-associated signaling pathways can use this kit to evaluate expression changes across experimental conditions, donor cohorts, or treatment groups. Each kit ships with reagents validated for human reactivity, and the workflow follows a typical capture-antibody ELISA procedure carried out at room temperature with standard incubation and wash steps. This product is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic applications.
