Human OSM/Oncostatin M ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Oncostatin M (OSM) in human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Oncostatin M is a cytokine involved in inflammation, immune response, and tissue repair, and serves as a biomarker of interest in cancer, autoimmune diseases, and inflammatory disorders.

The colorimetric double-antibody assay uses a pre-coated capture antibody, a biotin-conjugated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL and the working range is 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Reported linearity is 82–102% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8, with average recovery between 93% and 97% across the same matrices.

The target is catalogued under Uniprot P13725 and is also known as Oncostatin-M or MGC20461. Reagents should be stored at 2–8 °C, with unopened components stable for up to 12 months; the lyophilised standard and microplate strips are additionally storable at –20 °C. The procedure involves successive incubations with sample, biotin-labelled antibody and HRP-Streptavidin at 37 °C, followed by TMB development in the dark before absorbance measurement.
