Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody configuration for the quantitative detection of human OSGIN2 (Oxidative stress-induced growth inhibitor 2), also referred to by the synonyms hT41 and C8orf1. The kit is intended for cell biology research, with OSGIN2 recognised as a protein involved in oxidative stress response and cell growth regulation; abnormal levels have been linked to cancer, diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions falls within 90-105% for serum (n=5), 82-101% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 81-100% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges are 89-99% (serum, average 96%), 89-104% (EDTA plasma, average 97%), and 87-104% (heparin plasma, average 98%).

Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, followed by stop solution addition and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
