Description

This description has not been verified against the manufacturer's datasheet. Check the datasheet before you order, or ask us to confirm a specification. Ask us to confirm

This plate-based immunoassay from Assay Genie detects human O-sialoglycoprotein endopeptidase-like 1 (OSGEPL1), a mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the N6-threonylcarbamoyl adenosine modification on mitochondrial tRNAs. The assay has been validated for species-specific reactivity to human OSGEPL1 with no significant cross-reactivity against paralogous KEOPS complex components, and it is calibrated against full-length recombinant human OSGEPL1 for quantitative readouts. Studies on mitochondrial translation stress and tRNA modification disorders use this reagent to measure native protein abundance, and researchers can deploy it across in vitro investigations including cell lysate experiments, mitochondrial biology studies, and serum- or plasma-based biomarker screening using a 100 µL sample volume per well.

Once received, refrigerate the sealed components at 4 °C and protect the antibody-coated microplate wells from light and moisture; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycling of the standard vials and detection antibody. Each kit provides a pre-coated well plate and the buffers necessary to run the full photometric protocol on a standard plate reader. Single-use vials of standard, detection reagent, and substrate are intended for one application once reconstituted, and the lot-specific certificate of analysis is shipped with the package.

Common research uses

  • Tracking OSGEPL1 expression changes between disease and control cohorts
  • Mitochondrial translation studies and tRNA modification pathways
  • Validating knockdown or overexpression experiments in cell culture models
  • Cross-cohort screening in serum or plasma samples
  • Investigating OSGEPL1 paralog relationships within the human KEOPS complex
