Human OSF-2/Periostin ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Human OSF-2/Periostin ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay designed for the accurate measurement of OSF-2 (also known as Periostin) in human biological samples using a colorimetric detection method. The kit supports research into OSF-2/Periostin, a protein involved in tissue repair, remodeling, and inflammation, with roles in bone formation, wound healing, and allergic responses.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity in serum (n = 5) is 87-104% at 1:2, 83-97% at 1:4, and 81-96% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n = 5) is 86-100%, 84-98%, and 81-97%; heparin plasma (n = 5) is 88-104%, 82-100%, and 84-96%. Recovery ranges are 85-104% (serum, average 96%), 86-104% (EDTA plasma, average 95%), and 88-105% (heparin plasma, average 93%). Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes at 37°C, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
