Human Orphanin FQ/Nociceptin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Orphanin FQ/Nociceptin. The assay uses a double-antibody format and is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reactivity confirmed for human specimens.

Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of 2.813 pg/mL and a working range of 4.688-300 pg/mL. Linearity has been characterised in serum (1:2 90-103%, 1:4 83-99%, 1:8 80-96%), EDTA plasma (1:2 88-96%, 1:4 82-100%, 1:8 86-99%) and heparin plasma (1:2 98-103%, 1:4 82-100%, 1:8 82-93%). Recovery ranges are 86-103% (serum, average 92%), 87-102% (EDTA plasma, average 97%) and 93-105% (heparin plasma, average 98%). The kit is stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.

Orphanin FQ/nociceptin is a neuropeptide implicated in pain modulation, addiction and stress responses, and its dysregulation is associated with neurological and psychiatric disorders. The kit is suited to research investigating pain perception mechanisms and related conditions.
