Human Ornithine aminotransferase, mitochondrial (OAT) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of human ornithine aminotransferase, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay targets the mitochondrial form of the enzyme (UniProt P04181), a homohexamer localised to the mitochondrial matrix that participates in the urea cycle and amino acid metabolism. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human OAT, and the kit is intended for research use only.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.12ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Recovery is documented for serum (average 88%, range 82-94%) and plasma (average 90%, range 84-96%). Linearity has been characterised across serial dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with serum values at 1:2 of 95-104%, 1:4 of 95-105%, 1:8 of 96-107% and 1:16 of 103-115%.
