Human Orexin A ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's competitive ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of Orexin A in human samples, with a reported sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a standard range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL. The assay is intended for research into orexin-A, a neuropeptide linked to sleep-wake regulation, appetite, and energy metabolism, where it may support studies of sleep disorders, obesity, and neurological conditions.

Validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, the kit uses a coated-antigen competitive ELISA format with colorimetric readout. The workflow uses a biotin-labeled antibody and HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), with TMB substrate development and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Linearity and recovery have been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions. Reagents are supplied for storage sealed at 2-8°C and should not be cryopreserved.
