Human OPTN (Optineurin) ELISA Kit (HUFI07420)

The Assay Genie human optineurin ELISA kit is a quantitative immunoassay designed for measuring OPTN protein in human-derived specimens. Optineurin functions as a selective autophagy receptor that recognizes ubiquitin-tagged organelles and damaged mitochondria, recruiting the autophagy machinery to initiate mitophagy and aggregate clearance. The kit is suited to research into neurodegenerative conditions such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and primary open-angle glaucoma, where OPTN loss-of-function mutations impair selective autophagy and contribute to motor neuron or retinal ganglion cell vulnerability. Additional applications include studies of NF-κB inflammatory signaling, where optineurin modulates TNF-α–driven transcription through interactions with CYLD deubiquitinase and the TBK1 kinase.
