Human OLFM4/Olfactomedin 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double-antibody format kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Olfactomedin 4 (OLFM4) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Olfactomedin 4 is described as a protein involved in cell adhesion, migration and survival, and has been implicated in cancer, inflammatory diseases and neurological disorders, making it a useful biomarker for research into those conditions.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a working range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL. Reported linearity (n=5) spans 87–100% for serum, 84–101% for EDTA plasma and 83–104% for heparin plasma across serial dilutions. Spike-and-recovery values are 89–101% (serum, average 96%), 88–104% (EDTA plasma, average 95%) and 91–99% (heparin plasma, average 96%).

The protocol includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37 °C, a 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin step and TMB development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, with absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution. Unopened components are stored at 2–8 °C for 12 months. Sample preparation guidance is provided for serum (clot, 1000 × g, 20 min), plasma (anticoagulant tubes, 1000 × g, 15 min at 2–8 °C), tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant and cell lysate.
