Human Olfactory receptor 51E2 (OR51E2) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Olfactory receptor 51E2 (OR51E2) in research samples. The assay targets natural and recombinant human OR51E2, a probable G protein-coupled receptor reported to be activated by the short-chain fatty acids acetate and propionate, by steroid hormones, and by beta-ionone. OR51E2 localises to the cell membrane as a multi-pass membrane protein.

The kit uses a colorimetric sandwich ELISA format and accepts a broad range of human sample matrices, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. Performance characteristics quoted by Assay Genie include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.6%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.7%. Reported linearity in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across serial dilutions ranges from 85–94% to 117–127% depending on sample type and dilution factor. Reported average recovery is 87% (range 81–93%) for serum and 89% (range 83–95%) for plasma.
