Human Olfactomedin 4 (OLFM4) ELISA Kit

Originally characterized in olfactory neuroepithelium, OLFM4 (also designated GW112 and hGC-1) is a secreted olfactomedin-domain glycoprotein that is constitutively expressed by small intestinal Paneth cells and by bone marrow-derived neutrophils. Circulating OLFM4 concentrations have been reported to track with endoscopic disease activity in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, making the protein a useful biomarker for inflammatory bowel disease research and for studies of gastric and colorectal cancer biology.

This ELISA from Assay Genie is calibrated against recombinant human OLFM4 and supports measurement of native protein in research samples including serum specimens, plasma aliquots, tissue homogenates, and conditioned cell culture medium. Each kit contains a pre-coated microtitre plate, lyophilized reference standards in sealed vials, a biotinylated polyclonal detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer concentrate, chromogenic substrate, and stop reagent sufficient for a full plate run.

Equilibrate all components to room temperature before initiating the protocol, and return unused reagents to refrigerated storage immediately after use to preserve binding activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
