Human OCLN (Occludin) CLIA Kit (HUES00631)

From Assay Genie, this chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) is designed for the quantitative measurement of human occludin (OCLN) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. It uses a sandwich assay format with an assay time of 4.5 hours, a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL, and a detection range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL.

The kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human OCLN concentrations and uses a sample volume of 100 µL. It is highly specific, recognising Human OCLN in samples with no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human OCLN and analogues reported, and both intra-CV and inter-CV are stated to be < 15%.

Occludin is a critical protein involved in maintaining the integrity of tight junctions, which control the passage of molecules across cell barriers. Dysregulation of occludin has been implicated in inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, and multiple sclerosis, highlighting its significance as a potential biomarker for studying these conditions.
