Human OATP14 ELISA Kit (HUFI07424)

The Assay Genie immunoassay kit enables quantitative measurement of human organic anion transporting polypeptide OATP14, the transporter encoded by the SLCO1C1 gene. This solute carrier family member mediates sodium-independent uptake of amphipathic substrates, including thyroxine, conjugated steroids, and certain statin drugs, across polarized membranes at the blood-brain barrier and other barrier epithelia. Researchers studying CNS drug disposition, thyroid hormone handling at the barrier interface, and transporter-mediated pharmacology use this kit to support in vitro work on SLCO1C1 expression.

The kit is built around a microplate workflow and includes pre-coated wells, calibrators, and detection reagents sufficient to generate a standard curve from which unknown sample concentrations are interpolated. Each kit supports up to 96 determinations. Reagents should be stored refrigerated between uses and protected from repeated freeze-thaw cycles to maintain antibody binding activity.
