This matched-pair antibody immunoassay from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of human Nudix hydrolase 8 (NUDT8), a mitochondrial ADP-ribose pyrophosphatase implicated in cellular nucleotide metabolism and increasingly studied in oncology and metabolic disease research contexts. The 96 Assays plate-format kit is configured for in vitro research use only and is intended for human-derived blood fraction specimens, providing absorbance-based readout on a standard microplate reader.

NUDT8 belongs to the Nudix family of pyrophosphatases, enzymes that hydrolyze nucleoside diphosphate-linked substrates. Functional characterization studies have established that the recombinant human enzyme preferentially cleaves ADP-ribose to release AMP and ribose-5-phosphate, and mitochondrial localization places it at the interface of NAD catabolism and nucleotide homeostasis. Quantitative monitoring of NUDT8 protein levels in translational workflows therefore offers a useful complement to gene-expression and metabolomic readouts in studies of mitochondrial function.

Each kit ships with pre-coated wells, matched detection antibody, lyophilised recombinant standards, substrate solution, stop solution, wash buffer concentrate, and assay diluent in quantities sufficient for the full 96 Assays layout. Reconstituted standards and diluted samples should be handled on ice and stored refrigerated between uses; protect unopened reagent vials from light and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of working dilutions. For cross-experiment comparability, calibrate against the kit-supplied reference standard on every plate.
