Human Nucleobindin-2 (NUCB2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Nucleobindin-2 (NUCB2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and is specific for natural and recombinant human Nucleobindin-2, using a colorimetric detection method. NUCB2 is a calcium-binding protein of the nucleobindin family that may play a role in calcium homeostasis and is implicated in obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease research. The protein is cleaved to yield Nesfatin-1, an anorexigenic peptide that participates in hypothalamic pathways regulating food intake and energy homeostasis.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.056ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 7.3% and inter-assay CV is 10.7%. Recovery in serum averages 102% (range 96-108%) and in plasma averages 104% (range 98-110%). Linearity across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16 spans 83-93% to 100-111% for serum, 84-94% to 106-116% for EDTA plasma, and 94-107% to 103-113% for heparin plasma. The target protein has a reported molecular weight of 50,201 Da and is catalogued under UniProt entry P80303.
