Human NSUN2 ELISA Kit (HUFI07478)

NSUN2 (NOP2/Sun RNA methyltransferase 2) is a conserved tRNA methyltransferase responsible for 5-methylcytosine (m5C) modification of tRNAs, mRNAs, and other non-coding RNA species. This modification is critical for translational fidelity, cellular stress responses, and stem cell self-renewal, and is increasingly studied as a hub connecting epigenetic regulation to protein output.

Biallelic loss-of-function mutations in NSUN2 cause Dubowitz syndrome and autosomal-recessive intellectual disability, while upregulated NSUN2 expression has been documented in multiple cancer types, including breast, colorectal, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Researchers use this Assay Genie kit to quantify human NSUN2 protein levels in cell lysate and tissue homogenate samples, supporting investigations in epigenetics, oncology, neurodevelopmental biology, and translational biomarker discovery.
