Human NRG-2/Neuregulin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich, double-antibody ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate detection of neuregulin-2 levels in human biological samples. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Neuregulin-2 is a key signaling protein involved in neuronal development, synapse formation, and heart development, and has been implicated in schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and cancer, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions and potential therapeutic interventions.

Spike-and-recovery averages are 95% for serum (range 89-105%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 86-105%), and 94% for heparin plasma (range 85-103%). Linearity for serum (n=5) was 88-105% at 1:2, 89-104% at 1:4, and 85-102% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 85-101% at 1:2, 86-100% at 1:4, and 84-101% at 1:8; and heparin plasma (n=5) showed 82-95% at 1:2, 81-98% at 1:4, and 80-95% at 1:8. The protocol includes primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
