Human NPY2R/Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y2 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y2 (NPY2R) in human samples. The double-antibody sandwich format provides a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Validated sample matrices include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y2 is a receptor involved in the regulation of appetite, stress response, and metabolic functions, and its dysregulation has been implicated in obesity, diabetes, and neurological conditions. Linearity was evaluated in serum (86–105% at 1:2; 87–99% at 1:4; 86–97% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (88–104%; 83–100%; 81–100%) and heparin plasma (87–105%; 83–101%; 81–99%). Recovery ranges were 87–104% (average 97%) for serum, 86–105% (96%) for EDTA plasma, and 86–98% (92%) for heparin plasma.

The assay protocol proceeds through reagent equilibration and plate setup, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
