The Human NPTX1 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Neuronal Pentraxin 1 (NPTX1), a secreted glycoprotein belonging to the neuronal pentraxin family that mediates synaptic uptake of AMPA receptors and modulates excitatory synapse formation in the central nervous system.

NPTX1 is widely investigated as a circulating biomarker in neuroscience research, particularly in studies of Alzheimer's disease progression, mild cognitive impairment, frontotemporal dementia, and other neurodegenerative conditions where altered circulating concentrations have been reported in patient cohorts.
