Description

Designed for the quantitative detection of non-receptor tyrosine-protein kinase TYK2 in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie provides a colorimetric detection method suited to a variety of research applications. The kit is reactive with human samples and has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human TYK2.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.2% (CV) and inter-assay precision is 6.8% (CV). Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 (N=5): serum 84-96%, 114-124%, 104-114%, 99-109%; EDTA plasma 109-117%, 90-100%, 109-119%, 105-117%; heparin plasma 99-109%, 100-110%, 96-106%, 101-110%. Recovery averages are 86% (range 80-92%) for serum and 88% (range 82-94%) for plasma.

TYK2 is a member of the Janus kinase (JAK) family involved in intracellular signal transduction and the initiation of type I IFN signaling, phosphorylating the interferon-alpha/beta receptor alpha chain. Dysregulation of TYK2 has been linked to autoimmune diseases, cancer, and other inflammatory conditions, making it a relevant biomarker for studies of immune regulation and disease pathogenesis (UniProt: P29597). The kit is intended for research use only.
