The Nogo Receptor (NgR1), also known as Reticulon-4 Receptor, is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored cell-surface receptor that mediates inhibitory signaling from three major myelin-associated ligands: Nogo-A, MAG, and OMgp. This Assay Genie PharmaGenie reagent supports quantitative measurement of soluble receptor levels in neuronal cell culture and clinical samples, enabling studies of axon regeneration, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis pathology, and CNS repair pharmacology.

The kit supports drug-discovery workflows that require standardized receptor quantification across compound-treated and untreated controls. Each run uses a 100 μL sample volume. Reconstitute the lyophilized standard in the supplied diluent, then aliquot and store at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Avoid prolonged exposure of the working conjugate to room temperature and protect light-sensitive reagents from degradation.

Reagents are supplied in sealed vials sufficient for the microplate-based assay count, including a pre-coated plate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP, chromogenic substrate, wash buffer, and stop solution. Investigators developing or screening Nogo-pathway antagonists, recombinant decoy receptors, or small-molecule neuroregenerative compounds use this kit to confirm target engagement and pathway modulation in vitro.
