Description

Designed for the quantitative measurement of NMDAR2B (GRIN2B) levels in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA (Double Antibody) from Assay Genie provides a sensitive and specific workflow for reproducible results across research applications. NMDAR2B (GRIN2B) is a critical subunit of the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR), with roles in synaptic plasticity and excitatory neurotransmission; its dysregulation has been implicated in schizophrenia, autism and Alzheimer's disease.

The kit is validated for Serum, Plasma, Cell Culture Supernatant, Cell or Tissue Lysate, and Other Liquid Samples, with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Reported linearity at dilutions 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 is 91-104%, 90-105% and 86-101% for Serum (n=5); 92-100%, 90-100% and 85-91% for EDTA Plasma (n=5); and 88-100%, 82-96% and 85-105% for Heparin Plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges and averages are 85-103% (95%) for Serum, 91-99% (96%) for EDTA Plasma, and 85-105% (93%) for Heparin Plasma.

Stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, the workflow includes reagent and plate preparation, 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody binding, 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation, 10-20 minute TMB substrate colour development in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. Associated with Uniprot Q13224 and the Signal Transduction research area, the kit supports quantitative studies of GRIN2B in neurological disease research.
