Human Nitric oxide synthase, endothelial (NOS3) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human endothelial nitric oxide synthase (NOS3). The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and is specific for natural and recombinant human NOS3 (UniProt P29474).

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 31pg/mL and a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.9% (CV) and inter-assay precision is 9.8% (CV). Mean recovery is 102% in serum (range 96-108%) and 104% in plasma (range 98-110%), with linearity demonstrated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.

Endothelial NOS catalyses the conversion of L-arginine and oxygen to nitric oxide, a signalling molecule involved in vascular smooth muscle relaxation through the cGMP pathway and in VEGF-induced angiogenesis, as well as platelet activation. Dysregulation of NOS3 has been associated with hypertension, preeclampsia, Alzheimer disease and ischemic stroke, and the kit is listed for research in areas such as cancer and vascular biology.
