Human Nidogen-1 (NID1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate detection of human Nidogen-1 (NID1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Nidogen-1 is a sulfated glycoprotein widely distributed in basement membranes, tightly associated with laminin, and also binds to collagen IV and perlecan, where it plays a role in cell-extracellular matrix interactions.

The assay targets natural and recombinant human Nidogen-1 (UniProt P14543), also referred to by the synonyms Entactin, NID-1, and NID. It reports a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.067ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.2% and inter-assay CV is 9.7%. Recovery in serum averages 95% (range 89-101%) and in plasma averages 97% (range 91-103%). Linearity is demonstrated across serial dilutions (1:2 to 1:16) for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.

Dysregulation of Nidogen-1 has been implicated in cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders, supporting its relevance as a biomarker for cancer research.
