Human NGB/ Neuroglobin ELISA Kit

This colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the sensitive and specific detection of human neuroglobin (NGB) in research samples, supporting work in the cell death research area and in neuroscience, neurobiology, and neurology. The kit quantitatively measures NGB in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Synonyms for the target include NGB and Neuroglobin (UniProt Q9NPG2).

Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions spans 85–104%, 89–103%, and 87–104% for serum; 84–98%, 88–99%, and 87–90% for EDTA plasma; and 92–100%, 81–95%, and 80–94% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery performance is documented at 88–96% (average 92%) for serum, 86–105% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma, and 87–103% (average 93%) for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, with light-protected reagents.

Neuroglobin is implicated in neuroprotection and cellular oxygen regulation, with research relevance to neurological disorders, ischemic stroke, and neurodegenerative disease. The protocol uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin (SABC) signal amplification, with TMB as the chromogenic substrate and primary incubations performed at 37°C.
