Human NG-2 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS0920)

The PharmaGenie ELISA line from Assay Genie gives laboratories a quantitative tool for measuring human NG-2 proteoglycan, also known as CSPG4 or HMW-MAA. This plate-based, colorimetric assay fits standard microplate workflows and accepts human cell culture supernatant along with blood-derived specimen fractions such as individual serum specimens, plasma collections, and related clinical material, supporting both in vitro cell modeling and translational cohort work.

CSPG4 has become a marker of interest in oncology, where it labels tumor-initiating populations in melanoma and certain gliomas, and in vascular biology, where it characterizes pericyte coverage, vessel maturation, and angiogenesis. The proteoglycan also marks perivascular mesenchymal progenitor populations in regenerative medicine research, and the soluble ectodomain released by these cells can be tracked in conditioned media experiments.

The kit includes a microplate, calibration standard, biotinylated detection reagent, assay diluents, wash buffer, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution. Bench workflow covers sample and standard addition, incubation, washing, color development, and an absorbance read.
