Human Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (LCN2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a colorimetric sandwich ELISA for the quantitative measurement of human Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (LCN2), also referred to by synonyms including Lipocalin-2, NGAL, Siderocalin, p25 and Oncogene 24p3. The assay is for research use only and is designed to detect natural and recombinant human LCN2 in samples such as serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.072 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.8% and inter-assay CV of 9.9%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, while recovery averages 97% in serum (range 91-103) and 99% in plasma (range 93-105). LCN2 is an iron-trafficking protein involved in iron homeostasis, innate immunity, apoptosis and renal development, and is studied in the context of kidney injury, cancer and inflammatory conditions within the cardiovascular research area.
