Human Neurturin (NRTN) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of neurturin (NRTN) in human samples. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, and uses a colorimetric detection method.

Neurturin is a secreted growth factor belonging to the TGF-beta family (GDNF subfamily). It supports the survival of sympathetic neurons in culture, may help regulate development and maintenance of the central nervous system, and may influence the size of non-neuronal cell populations such as haemopoietic cells. Dysregulation of neurturin has been associated with various neurological disorders, including Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative conditions, and genetic variations in NRTN have been linked to Hirschsprung disease. The kit is intended for research use only, within the research area of neurosciences.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.19ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.6%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.7%. Across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, serum linearity spans 83-110%, and recovery averages 86% (range 80-92%) for serum and 88% (range 82-94%) for plasma. The antibodies specifically detect natural and recombinant human neurturin. Supplied components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample diluent, assay diluents A and B, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with most components stored at -20°C and the wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution stored at 4°C.
