Human Neuropathy target esterase (PNPLA6) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Neuropathy target esterase (PNPLA6) in research samples. The colorimetric immunoassay is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates, cell or tissue lysates, and other biological fluids, offering a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 4.6% and inter-assay CV at 7.7%, with serum recovery averaging 95% (range 89–101%) and plasma recovery averaging 97% (range 91–103%).

PNPLA6, also known as neuropathy target esterase (NTE) or patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing protein 6, is a phospholipase B that deacylates intracellular phosphatidylcholine. The protein is anchored to the cytoplasmic face of the endoplasmic reticulum and plays a role in lipid metabolism and neuronal function. Dysregulation of PNPLA6 has been associated with neurodegenerative conditions including hereditary spastic paraplegia and Boucher-Neuhäuser syndrome, making it a valuable biomarker for neurological research.
