Description

This Sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Neuromedin-K receptor (TACR3). Reactivity is human, and accepted sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity covers the natural and recombinant human Neuromedin-K receptor, and the kit is intended for research use only.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.22ng/ml, with an intra-assay CV of 6.1% and an inter-assay CV of 10.2%. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery averaged 96% (range 90-102%) for serum and 98% (range 92-104%) for plasma. Optical density is read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

TACR3 is also known as NK-3 receptor, Neurokinin B receptor, Tachykinin receptor 3, NK-3R, NKR, NK3R and TAC3R. Functionally it is a receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide neuromedin-K (neurokinin B), associated with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The rank order of affinity to tachykinins is neuromedin-K > substance K > substance P. The corresponding UniProt entry is P29371.
