Human Neuroligin-3 (NLGN3) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Neuroligin-3 (NLGN3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric detection method.

According to the manufacturer's datasheet, the assay covers a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Across a dilution series from 1:2 to 1:16, linearity in serum ranged from 92-118%, in EDTA plasma from 98-118%, and in heparin plasma from 83-112%. Recovery averaged 100% (range 94-106%) for serum and 102% (range 96-108%) for plasma.

Neuroligin-3 is a cell-surface protein that participates in cell-cell interactions through binding to neurexin family members and plays a role in synapse function and synaptic signal transmission. The protein is detected at both glutamatergic and GABAergic synapses. Defects in NLGN3 have been associated with susceptibility to autism X-linked type 1 (AUTSX1) and X-linked Asperger syndrome 1 (ASPGX1). The kit is intended for research use only.
